Spring Break 2006

My last spring break ever is now over and I unfortunately didn’t make it to any exotic locales like I did during my final spring break in college, when we rented a beach house on South Padre Island, Texas…

Still, it wasn’t as boring as some of my other spring breaks, which was even more of a surprise to me considering I spent a substantial part of the weekdays at work….At least, Monday thru Thursday, that is...

Anyway, over the ten or so days that span the ‘bookend’ weekends, I was able to enjoy quite a few activities…There was the going-away (keg) party that we hosted, which was followed up the next night by a wedding & reception…which were followed up later that same night by a friend’s 30^th birthday party…

In addition, I was able to catch Matisyahu in concert one evening, and then check out Dave Chappelle's Block Party (his new concert movie) the next night…Finally, I was able to attend the bachelor party for one of my best friends this past weekend in Austin, while also catching some of the opening games of the NCAA Tournament...

Thus, despite spending more time at work than I'd originally planned, I was still able to have a pretty good time on my last spring break…

However, there were plenty of things I had hoped to do over the break that I didn’t take care of…For example, I took all of my textbooks home, in hopes of catching up in a couple classes—or at least getting more organized—yet I never even cracked open one of them...

I also meant to do more job searching, yet I just barely worked on some cover letters…Furthermore, I meant to finally refill my Adderal prescription and order some new contacts, yet I was too lazy to do either…

I also hoped to catch up on my ‘blogging,’ maybe even trying to write some of the posts that I’ve been considering for a while now, such as my ode to Kirby Puckett, for example, as well as a recap of my trip to Missouri and my rant on the people who vote for the Butkus Award and how A.J. Hawk got robbed…Yet, I never got around to doing much blogging outside of posting some photos...

Oh well, now that our classes have resumed, I guess I now have time to blog again…Or, at least, I now have time to think about blogging before getting too lazy and playing hold ‘em against the computer instead…
