Rewinding the Oscars...

As I drove home to catch the Oscars tonight, I thought it might be a good idea to blog throughout the show...Basically, posting some 'stream-of-consciousness-notes'...Yet, I started to get considerably bored soon after George Clooney won Best Supporting Actor at the start of the show, as I didn't have much interest in the awards for makeup, costumes, editing, and so on...

Anyway, I think my favorite part of the whole affair tonight had to be the 'acceptance speech'--if you can call it that--by Three 6 Mafia after they won for Best Original Song...

That being said, on numerous occasions tonight, I was reminded about how nice it is to be able to rewind live television...For example, I think the best presenting duo had to be the Will Ferrell and Steve Carell combo, yet I was taking up a dump when they originally came out to present an award for make-up or something like that...I could barely hear what they were saying when it was live, but due to being able to rewind the show, I was able to enjoy their time on stage...

In addition, I was playing a game of RBI on another TV when I suddenly noticed Ludacris on stage, and thus, after hitting the rewind button, I was able to check out his intro, as well as Three 6 Mafia's performance in its entirety...

And, I must admit, I hit rewind a few times after Three 6 Mafia's acceptance speech, as I really wanted to figure out what was going on up there...I think it's safe to say that I enjoyed their speech more than their performance...

Oh well, I have some more random thoughts from the show, as well as the last few weeks, so hopefully I can post some of them soon...If I'm not too lazy, that is...
